KB Ambulance handles over 5,000 911 calls for service annually. We are currently the primary 911 ambulance service for the Towns of Killingly, Pomfret, and Hampton. KB Paramedic’s are responsible for the Advanced care needs of Woodstock, Thompson, Putnam, Killingly, Pomfret, Eastford, Brooklyn and most of Plainfield.

Our Kind Caring Professional members are trained to the highest standard, and represent what it means to be a hero to the large community they service.
Every ambulance in our fleet is equipped with a Striker Power-PRO XT stretcher and Power-LOAD system to help mitigate unnecessary lifting and reduce avoidable back injury. We are also equipped with 3 Physio Control Lucas CPR devices.
KB Ambulance is currently operating with a fleet of 4 ambulances, soon to be 5, 3 Paramedic Intercept Vehicles, and 2 service vehicles
KB started with a single 1939 Buick Ambulance housed at the American Legion Post 21 with 11 members covering a 55 mile radius. We now operate with 60 plus employee/volunteer members handling emergencies throughout "The Quiet Corner"
Our Instructors boast an impressive combined 100 years of on the job experience. They are comprised of Paramedics and EMT's that each bring their own experiences and teaching styles to a friendly learning atmosphere.
All of our members have grown up in Eastern CT. We are all mothers, fathers, brothers, and sisters, and provide the same care and compassion we would want provided to one of our loved ones.
